Track-true routes

Real rails, not straight lines

Every saved trip snaps to the actual track - through the valleys, around the lakes, over the passes. Your map looks the way the journey felt. The lines in the header above? Real geometry from the same router the app uses.

FAQ

Common questions

Is TrainAtlas free?

Yes. The core atlas is free forever - unlimited trip logging, real track geometry on every route, your last 12 months on the map and stats, achievements and share cards. Pro (from about $2.08/month) adds all-time history and the live layer.

Which train operators and countries does it cover?

Live delays, platforms and arrival times come from 30+ operators including DB, SNCF, Trenitalia, ÖBB, SBB, Renfe, NS, SNCB and National Rail, across most of Europe. You can log a trip anywhere; the live layer depends on the operator publishing a realtime feed.

Do I need an account?

No. TrainAtlas has no account and no sign-up. Your trips are stored privately on your iPhone and never leave your device.

Is TrainAtlas only for iPhone?

Yes, for now. It is a native iOS 17+ app built in SwiftUI. An Android version is not on the current roadmap.

Does it draw the real train route?

Yes. Every saved trip snaps to the actual track geometry, not a straight line, and it honestly marks a route as approximate when an operator has not published the exact shape.
